About me!
My
name is Sarah
and I can't
remember a time I
didn't have a cat in my
life. Even before
my mum and dad relented
and got Ginger,
my first real cat, I
had an imaginary one I
used to walk on an
imaginary lead!
Over the next 40+ years there was Porta, Tom, Loxley, Duchess and two of her kittens, Emily and Nikita. I now have Tilly, Alice, Big William and Little Ivy. I couldn't imagine a life that wasn't filled with my four legged family.
It seemed the most natural thing in the world to get involved with Stockport Cats Protection and I happily volunteered for that Group for 17 years when it was under the leadership of the legendary Jacky Goodman. I ran the jewellery stall at their monthly fairs, helped with the Fun Day Committee and generally mucked in wherever needed.
I also volunteered for Stockport, East Cheshire and West Derbyshire RSPCA, manning their Voucher Line for a couple of years. I still do home checks for the RSPCA whenever asked.
With a lifetime of experience, I understand cats, what they need, what they want and how to make them feel safe, comfortable, happy and of course, in charge (which is what every cat really wants to be!)
